A Summer of Love in Venice: NFT Pop Up

It was June 22nd, the second official night of summer, in Venice Beach, California. The balmy breeze wafted over participants of two art worlds colliding. It was a night where they would meet and fall in love.

Finding ourselves at the WNDO in Jim Budman’s Studio side-by-side with gorgeous people and even more beautiful art was a dream come true. A collective of four NFT artists and their phenomenal curator put their souls together to produce a vibrant, summer-themed collection.

Each artist presented 2 pieces. One was a physical manifestation of their unique art, another being the corolating NFT.

Visitors perused the art, enjoyed free pizza provided by Rare Pizza’s, a raffle by JR & Z-Hovak, and a symphonic opera performance by Angela Molineux.

A highlight of the evening was the trampoline-while-painting performance by Brian Floats, where he managed to capture Amber’s portrait without slowing down for a beat.

An event like this has been missed for so long, and you could tell the guests were jazzed to be a part of such a sweet summer evening. Over 100 artists, Clubhouse influencers from the NFT space, and others flew in from all over the U.S. to gather for this event IRL.

The night was a lot of fun. Lovers found each other again in the physical space and through a night of sharing, eating and art-ing. This is just the beginning for the artist collective, with more events planned in the future. (Be sure to follow them on social)

The success and feedback from this event inspired these artists to create an NFT Artist’s Guild. It’s an organization for artists to support each other, with a mandate to make inclusion a priority, such as acting equally towards people within all gender or age categories, with many types of experience, and from different geographical regions.

Their aim is to support diversity across all humans and all types of art disciplines. The Guild will consist of a diverse group who will collaborate on physical shows together, as well as curate and explore new possibilities for art in the NFT space.
